Mr and Mrs Dixon from Hebburn were troubled with condensation, noise from street and heat loss on their bedroom window. Dave Kendall has installed new triple glazed windows for Mrs Dixon's parents so they contacted Dave for advice. All the other companies wanted to replace the frame and the glass, Dave explained this was not necessary as the frame was in really good condition. He advised changing the glass units for energy efficient acoustic units which will reduce the noise and cut the heat loss and condensation. He also removed the plastic trims on the inside and put expanding foam around the gaps at the sides of the window frame to insulate it. He replaced the rims and after a couple of days the Dixons commented the room was much quieter and warmer, condensation had virtually disappeared. 20/11/2016
